G'day, as most of you may already know I am a current NRL player for the NZ Warriors (previously Brisbane Broncos).
I grew up on a property just outside Charleville, a small country town located in Western Queensland. I am the youngest if 4 boys and considered the mumma's boy of the family.
Having grown up in the heart of QLD, I've been a leaguey since the day I was born. And being the youngest of 4 boys, I've always had a competitive streak in me....
Below is a bit of background on my Rugby League journey so far.
I went to boarding school at Ipswich grammar. Once graduated, I moved straight back down to chase my NRL dream. I manage to get picked up by the Broncos under 20s where i played a few games before I went on to sign a contract down in Sydney for the Roosters under 20s. After getting a bit carried away in the Sydney nightlife, I found myself with no contract after my under 20s had ended. I ended up back at Ipswich Jets and after winning the clubs Maiden Premiership in the Queensland Cup in 2015, I got picked up by the Cronulla Sharks. Debuting in the 2016 season, I was lucky enough to be a part of another Maiden Premiership, this time in the NRL for the Sharks. Fast forward to 2020, I moved to the Penrith Panthers where we went on to win the 2021 premiership. This didn't come without heartbreak however, after battling injuries and losing to the Melbourne Storm in the Grand final in 2020. I have since moved back to my home state of QLD to play for the Brisbane Broncos. Im lucky enough to have now notched up over 130 NRL games, 2 premierships and 9 origins for QLD.
Throughout my journey I've come across plenty of ups and downs both on and off the field. I've also had to learn to overcome and adapt. Whether it be fighting week in week out to keep my spot or changing through multiple positions on the field in a game or handling the nerves on the big stage in front of 80,000 people. I hope I can share with you some of my stories and some of what helps me continue to strive to keep chasing my goals.
