About me

  • Hockeyroos
  • Sport
  • Field Hockey
  • International Field Hockey
  • Commonwealth Games
  • Sporting Events

I started playing hockey when I was 4/5 years old in North Queensland.

I was then selected by the QAS to move to Brisbane after school in 2013 to train.

Two years later I was very fortunate to be selected to move to Perth and to start training with the Hockeyroos squad.

I made my Australian debut in 2015 but unfortunately tore my ACL at the end of the year which ruled me out for the whole of 2016.

I am now fully recovered and looking forward to playing my best hockey ever with the Australian team.

My short term goals for the coming year are to medal with the team at the World Cup in London in 2018.

My focus will then be on the Olympics in Tokyo in 2020.

My family has been my biggest support over the years and I’m very lucky to have them.

Stephanie was perfect for the occasion of our Mother’s Day breakfast. She spoke really well and discussed beautifully the role her mother played in her development, not only as a sportsperson but also as a young adult. Stephanie was able to combine humour, some home truths and showed the gratitude she has for her mother. The quietness around the room during Stephanie speech was indicative of the quality. There were a number of mothers who came and commented to me on how well she spoke and what a lovely girl she is!
